Retired FRA Hazardous Material Inspector - MKB Rail Consultancy

Michael spent 37 years in the railroad industry beginning his career in the Signal Department and over that time span was a Train Dispatcher, Safety & Rules examiner, Senior Trainmaster and Senior Manager of Communications.  After retiring from the railroad, he went to work for the Federal Railroad Administration as a Hazardous Materials Safety Inspector.

While at the FRA he received numerous accolades and Secretary of Transportation awards for Outstanding Service as a Hazardous Material Inspector.  His railroad experience was used on a number of specialized projects; High Speed Rail Evaluation Team, Bakken Oil Shipping Facility Audit Team, Operation Lifesaver Presenter and C3RS (Confidential Close Call Reporting System) West Team Member.  He retired from the FRA in 2016.
