About Michael Obertop

Michael Obertop serves as a sales representative at Carboline in the Southeast and Midwest territories. Carboline is a global manufacturer of coatings, linings, and fireproofing with offices and manufacturing facilities worldwide. Michael has 20 years of experience in the railcar industry. He has spent the last 10 years at Cathcart Rail, CaD Railways and GBW, a railcar maintenance joint venture between The Greenbrier Companies and Watco. Michael spent 9 years with American Railcar Industries in various roles such as Director SEC Reporting (IPO), Corporate Counsel, Asst. Treasurer and Corporate Secretary.

Michael holds a JD and MBA from the University of Missouri, Columbia and a BA from Southwest Baptist University. Michael and his wife Casey live in Saint Louis, MO. They have four children, Jimmy, Julie, Jamie and Jordyn. In his spare time, Michael enjoys any kind of racquetball sport and spending time with family and friends.
